REUNION WEEKEND'S SIGNATURE EVENTS

Dear Classmates,

Just as in 2015, there were three signature events during the 50th Reunion weekend.

We will held a reception on Friday night, a dinner/dance on Saturday night and a brunch/picnic on Sunday morning and afternoon.

Friday night, September 22, 2023

Social Gathering
Whitey’s Booze and Burgers restaurant

Meeting spot: We were in the newly refurbished covered back patio for an evening of conversation and fun surprises.

Time: 6 p.m. to midnight.

Parking: In addition to the restaurant parking lot at 3600 Brecksville Road, there was an additional parking lot at 3554 Brecksville Road, right next door.

Food: Pizza and wings were provided by the class. Classmates also ordered off the menu.

Drinks: There was a cash bar.

No credit cards: Whitey's does not accept credit cards, so please bring cash. There is an ATM machine on the site.

Activities: No formal activities were planned at this event. This was a night for visiting, music, games.

History: Since the 1950s, Revere High School classmates have gathered at Whitey’s to celebrate victories by the Minutemen and special events.

 

Saturday night, September 23, 2023

Evening Dinner and Dance

The big event of our weekend was held at the Holiday Inn Express, just across the street from the Summit Mall.

A professional photographer was on site to take posed pictures of interested classmates and guests.

Classmates enjoyed a special buffet with appetizers, salad, sides, entrees, desserts and cash bar (credit cards preferred for drinks)

In addition, we danced the night away to your favorite songs from 1967 to 1973, including our theme song: “Get Together” by The Youngbloods.

Casual Get-Together
Furnace Run Metro Park

As we did in 2015, we gathered at Furnace Run for a more relaxed gathering on Sunday morning and afternoon.

Classmates enjoyed brunch items such as coffee and bagels late in the morning and picnic items such as pizza early in the afternoon.

We gathered in the shelter and had outdoor activities (bocce ball, corn hole, hiking) as well as indoor activities (trivia, cards, more visiting old friends).

Note: We have a limit of 100 guests at one time in the shelter.
